Lin Tao, from Putian in Fujian Province, began learning painting from his father Lin Jinding in his early age.
Lin Tao studied at Jimei University’s Arts College and the Central Academy of Fine Arts school of Chinese Painting. He is a committee member of the Chinese Academy of Art, Vice-chairman of the Fujian Young Artists Association, Vice-Chairman of Xiamen Mingmeng Academy of Art, and a visiting professor at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Art College of Xiamen University.
His works have won numerous awards in both China and overseas. His works were exhibited in Taiwan, Beijing, Hong Kong and other countries, and he has published several public collections. In recent years, his works of Leopard series have received great popularity.
He was selected as one of the top 100 most artistic and promising artists in China as well as one of the top 50 artists recommended by the Chinese art publishers.
